In March of 1998, a state of the art hospital was built in Moreno Valley and the hospital was renamed Riverside County Regional Medical Center.   Although the building is new our staff still carries on the tradition of caring and teamwork that goes back more than 100 years.

Our facility has 364 single patient rooms, 12 operating rooms and is a busy regional Level II Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center and as such provides for a wide variety of clinical experience.

In April 2000, the American Osteopathic Association granted the Department of Anesthesiology the approval to begin training residents.  Since the tradition of training qualified residents began, the Department of Anesthesiology has recruited academically orientated faculties with diversified educational backgrounds, anesthesia training and expertise in the various anesthesia subspecialties.

The anesthesia residency program received ACGME initial accreditation effective July 2015.  In 2016, the hopsital was renamed Riverside University Health System.
